Beginning operation in 1993 as Western Australia's first all Non-Linear
Television post production house, Whiz Digital has maintained its lead in early adoption of cutting edge technology in the rapidly
changing market of television production and post production. Since opening its doors, Whiz Digital has grown to include two full
time editors, two visual e ffects artists, Producer/CEO, Post Production Co-coordinator, and a dedicated multimedia department.
We have also developed a comprehensive network of freelance editors and animators covering all areas of post production services.
Whiz Digital has built a reputation for excellence in post production of all forms of broadcast media. From television commercials, documentaries, children’s drama, adult drama, tele-movies and feature films. The Company's biggest area of growth has been in drama, animation and special effects. With the upgrade of our On-line broadcast editing and visual effects systems in October 2006, Whiz is now fully equipped to provide animation, HD visual effects and post production, to uncompressed finish. With the trend for broadcasters in Australia and South East Asia to outsource production and post production, potential growth is expected in all areas of our operation. With further expansion of facilities, Whiz has now moved to larger premises in Abbotsford Street, Western Australia, located 3.5 klms from the Perth CBD. At Whiz Digital we are committed to the constant assessment, and adoption of appropriate new technologies to further enhance the company's capability in finishing and delivery of, world class, broadcast content to the international market. Our most recent acquisitions include Avid Adrenaline, Softimage XSI, DVD Authoring and real-time video to DVD dubbing and duplication. Whiz Digital is recognised, by international distributors, film completion guarantors and the Australian Film Finance Corporation as a safe storage/archival facility for film and tape master material.
